Amy Foster, LPC-Candidate

Amy enjoys working with moms as they navigate the the journey of motherhood, starting before there’s a positive test all the way through transitioning to an empty nest. In the counseling space, she hopes that people are able to discover what it means to be their true self.

Her approach to therapy is to explore behavioral and emotional patterns, heal attachment wounds, facilitate emotional expression, and understanding our inner desires. Amy hopes that her clients are able to see themselves holistically, with each piece of ourselves behaving in ways that make sense.

Amy works with mothers experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and loss of identity, as well as those seeking to proactively work on their mental health. She provides a warm, relaxing, and sometimes humorous environment to help clients achieve self-actualization.

Amy’s passion for perinatal counseling began during her master’s program where she gained experience counseling moms. Amy graduated with her master’s degree in counseling in 2022. After taking some time to be a stay at home mom, she returned to being a counselor in 2024. In her spare time, Amy enjoys gardening, cooking, and playing outside with her family.
